Air Canada works with WestJet to accommodate travellers ahead of potential WS strike

MONTREAL — As the clock ticks down to a potential WestJet strike, Air Canada says it's working with WestJet to rebook passengers on Air Canada flights wherever possible. "The WestJet labour disruption may have an impact on air travel across the country. If you're booked to travel with WestJet over the next few days, we're here to help you understand your options and next steps," says Air Canada on its site.

How it works

• You'll find product information and self-service tools, including the option to select your seats and check in for your flight within 24 hours of travel," says Air Canada.
• Passengers who booked flights with a travel agency or OTA are asked to contact the agency or OTA directly.
• For passengers who have not yet been rebooked by WestJet, Air Canada's says those travellers should contact WestJet directly.
