We, of course, are not totally innocent of this, given all the products we love showing you in case you do need something new, but we also do try to repeat over and over a "only if you need it" message. FYI, these aren't ideas that are free, like swapping throw pillows or art between rooms for a fresh feel (a great hack BTW). This post has a lot of "think outside the traditional interior design box" ideas because I think we should all give ourselves more permission to play and experiment! The more we can invest in what we already own, the better our hearts, homes, and planet feel. When I've seen "contrast" sofa cushions (seat and/or back cushions that are in a different fabric, color, or material to the base), they've been custom pieces that started out that way.
