Party (BJP) on Sunday criticised Mirwaiz Umar Farooq over his call for political parties to unite for the restoration of Article 370, saying such statements could disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the Valley. BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said the abrogation of Article 370 was a "historic" constitutional decision taken by Parliament on August 5, 2019, and was subsequently upheld by the Supreme Court. "Mirwaiz Umar Farooq should understand that Article 370 is not coming back.
