Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Extended, Adds Double XP To Help You Grind For Rewards

Modern Warfare 4 open beta was supposed to end today, September 1, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, but Activision is extending it. The beta is now set to wrap up at 10 PM PT / 1 AM ET (September 2), meaning it's been extended by a full 12 hours. This is great news for anyone grinding through the levels to claim the MW4 open beta's various rewards.

How it works

• Players who make it all the way to the level cap of 30 get a special weapon blueprint, and now there are 12 more hours to grind for it, or likely less if you're at work, school, eating, sleeping, gardening,...
• After the beta wraps up, the next time people will be able to play MW4 multiplayer is when the game launches on October 23.
• The game's single-player campaign, meanwhile, unlocks a week before that for people who preorder.
