Golden Harvest adds 14 new corn hybrids to its 2027 portfolio focused on pest tolerance, yield potential, and agronomic traits.

Golden Harvest launches 22 new soybean varieties for 2027: 15 on Enlist traits, 7 on ExtendFlex, and three with Peking-derived soybean cyst nematode resistance.

Two Peking-resistant soybean varieties—GH2027E3S and GH2777E3S—were on display in the field at the Farm Progress Show.

# What farmers saw at the Farm Progress Show

At the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, Syngenta's Golden Harvest lineup included a notable set of corn hybrids and soybean varieties for the 2027 season. The company presented product advances farmers can place in their rotations this coming year.

Corn: 14 new hybrids for 2027

Golden Harvest is introducing 14 new corn hybrids to the 2027 portfolio. According to Matt Dolch, Syngenta corn product manager, selection priorities for new entries included insect and pest tolerance, yield potential, and agronomic traits that help placement and standability.

Specific agronomic objectives mentioned for the new corn hybrids:

  • Improved root and stalk strength to reduce lodging risk.
  • Better early-season vigor and emergence to support stand establishment.
  • Broad adaptability so growers can place hybrids across different field conditions with less risk.

Farmers at the show could view field displays and hear management guidance for the new hybrids.

Soybeans: 22 new varieties and targeted trait platforms

Ryan Dunsbergen, Golden Harvest soybean product manager, said the soybean lineup for 2027 includes 22 new varieties. The trait-platform breakdown is:

  • 15 varieties on the Enlist trait platform.
  • 7 varieties on the ExtendFlex platform.

That split gives growers more choices across two widely used trait platforms, enabling selection based on herbicide programs and regional fit.

Addressing soybean cyst nematode (SCN)

Golden Harvest identified soybean cyst nematode as a current production challenge and is introducing genetics with Peking-derived resistance. For 2027, the company is launching three varieties that carry that Peking source of resistance. Two of those were featured in the show's field demonstrations:

  • GH2027E3S (Peking-derived SCN resistance)
  • GH2777E3S (Peking-derived SCN resistance)

Dunsbergen highlighted these varieties as examples of how the portfolio is responding to SCN pressure so growers have genetic options to include in their rotations.

How these additions matter for planting decisions

The new corn and soybean entries are positioned around familiar production questions: where to place a hybrid or variety, how it will handle pests and early stress, and whether its trait stack fits the planned herbicide and pest management program. Golden Harvest is also supporting placement and management through digital tools mentioned elsewhere by the company, which aim to give farmers recommendations for the best acre fit.
