Golden Harvest identified soybean cyst nematode as a current production challenge and is introducing genetics with Peking-derived resistance. For 2027, the company is launching three varieties that carry that Peking source of resistance. Two of those were featured in the show's field demonstrations:
Dunsbergen highlighted these varieties as examples of how the portfolio is responding to SCN pressure so growers have genetic options to include in their rotations.
The new corn and soybean entries are positioned around familiar production questions: where to place a hybrid or variety, how it will handle pests and early stress, and whether its trait stack fits the planned herbicide and pest management program. Golden Harvest is also supporting placement and management through digital tools mentioned elsewhere by the company, which aim to give farmers recommendations for the best acre fit.
