How it works

• I am quite new to University of Alberta Press, which opened its doors in 1969.
• Fortunately, there is a lot of institutional memory on the Press team that I can draw upon!
• Gutteridge, a librarian, who ran the operation on the tiniest of shoestrings.
• As Rod Macleod writes in All True Things: A History of the University of Alberta, "For the first few years after its creation in 1969, the Press barely existed.
