# The studio's plan: no Valheim 2 At Gamescom 2026, Iron Gate's Art Lead and Creative Director Robin "Grimmcore" Eyre and Producer Andreas "Lumaaah" Tomasson told PCGamesN they do not plan a Valheim 2. Eyre said he'd polled the community about a sequel and found the consensus: players want more content for the current game. "The consensus was that Valheim 2 could be cool, but people really, really want more content for Valheim," Eyre said.
That community preference matches Iron Gate's own direction. The studio intends to continue developing the live game, building new progression and content rather than shifting to a separate, numbered sequel.

Features such as Trinkets and Adrenaline and a major combat update were not originally planned but were developed in response to the community.
