Dave Dombrowski Intends to Continue as Phillies’ Baseball Boss After 2027

Dave Dombrowski has served as the Philadelphia Phillies' president of baseball operations since December 2020. His existing contract runs through the end of the 2027 campaign, when he will be 71 years old. Dombrowski told USA Today's Bob Nightengale that he "loves it here" and intends to keep working as long as his health and energy allow. He also described this role as his "last full-time job" in baseball.

Dombrowski's tenure. After nine consecutive non-winning seasons before his arrival, Philadelphia posted an 82–80 record in 2021 and has increased its win total in each of Dombrowski's five seasons.
