Top features include NVIDIA Thor assisted-driving chip, LiDAR and radar standard, Kunlun platform with flat floor and long sliding rails.

N90 Max Studio adds a factory pop-up roof, convertible sleeping layout, interior heating and a 30-inch projector for camping/mobile-studio use.

# What Xiaomi launched

# The four models and pricing

  • N70 Pro: five-seat, rear-wheel drive — RMB 209,900 (~$31,275).
  • N70 Max: five-seat, all-wheel drive with dual motors — RMB 239,900 (~$35,745).
  • N90 Max: seven-seat flagship — RMB 269,900 (~$40,215).
  • N90 Max Studio: seven-seat with factory pop-up camping/studio roof — RMB 299,900 (~$44,685).

# Powertrain and range

Each SkyNomad is an EREV: a traction battery provides electric driving and a gasoline-powered generator extends overall range without mechanically driving the wheels. Key published ranges and battery sizes:

  • N70 Pro: 52 kWh LFP battery, 351 km CLTC pure-electric range, 1,351 km combined.
  • N90 Max: 464 km CLTC pure-electric range (seven-seat) and 1,705 km combined.

Xiaomi claims a 20–80% charge can take as little as 18 minutes on supported chargers.

# Platform and tech

All SkyNomads ride on Xiaomi's Kunlun platform, which offers a flat floor and long sliding rails for flexible interior layouts. Standard hardware across the lineup includes an NVIDIA Thor assisted-driving chip, LiDAR, and radar sensors, indicating a strong emphasis on assisted-driving features out of the factory.

# Interior layouts and unique features

Interior flexibility is a design focus. Front seats can rotate to face the second row and create a lounge around a fold-out table. Long sliding rails and a flat floor support multiple seat and cargo configurations.

Studio targets mobile-studio and camping use: it features a factory-integrated electric pop-up roof that raises 100 mm to create a two-level loft with headroom for someone up to 1.8 meters tall. The second row folds flat into a 1.87-meter bed in about 30 seconds. The interior includes a heated floor with three temperature settings and a 30-inch projector screen.

# Market positioning and availability

For now, the SkyNomad lineup is confirmed for China only. Xiaomi has indicated expansion plans beyond China in the future, but the company's current launch is focused on the domestic market.

# What to watch next

  • How buyers respond to the price-versus-feature package against Li Auto and AITO.
  • Real-world efficiency and charging performance versus claimed CLTC figures.
  • Whether Xiaomi brings SkyNomad to overseas markets and how it prices competitive three-row EVs there.
