The star studded project was released on August 28 through Ky-Mani's Konfrontation Muzik label in partnership with DubShot Records. For Love and Energy, Marley brings together an impressive group of Jamaican artists, including Sizzla Kalonji, Anthony B, Agent Sasco, Gyptian, Bugle, Lutan Fyah, Iba Mahr and Andrew Tosh. The album deals with love, relationships, faith, poverty, personal mistakes, resilience and social issues, while remaining connected to Ky-Mani's reggae foundation.

What to take from it
The mood changes with Poor Man's Cry, where Marley turns his attention towards poverty and the desperation that can come with it. "The album carries a message of love, resilience, hope, and positive energy, even through difficult times," Marley explained. Miss Electric is built around attraction and desire, while All This Love takes a more spiritual direction, dealing with faith, forgiveness and truth.

- One of the album's more personal moments comes with A Little Bit (I'm Okay), written by Ky-Mani together with his daughter Imani Marley and longtime collaborator Shaquel Leon.
- Built around a traditional one-drop rhythm with pedal steel guitar by Tal Morris, the song looks back at mistakes, uncertainty and accepting the roads life has taken you down.
- The track became a crowd favorite during Ky-Mani's recent European Love and Energy tour, with a live video filmed at the Rio Loco Festival in Toulouse, France.
- On the acoustic Breathe You In, Ky-Mani turns to an intimate love song, while Love TKO sees him putting a reggae spin on the Teddy Pendergrass classic, one of his personal favorite songs.
