WTB's 2026 gravel tire lineup expands width and adds aerodynamic elements. The company launched three tires — Byway, Course, and Macro — in collaboration with Stromm, the maker of a UCI-legal fast road bike. The new tires shift to wider nominal sizes that reflect how gravel riders are running bigger volumes today.
- Byway: 50 mm width, 620 g
- Course: 52 mm width, 635 g
- Macro: 54 mm width, 640 g
All three use a 120 TPI casing and include SG2 puncture protection. The rubber compound across the range is WTB's Dual DNA formula. Each model ships in two color options — Standard or Tan — with the Tan option trimmed about 10 grams lighter than its Standard counterpart. Each tire carries an MSRP of $89.95.
WTB added vortex generators and trip strips into the sidewalls. Those features are designed to manipulate airflow over the tire with the stated intent of reducing drag. WTB highlights those elements alongside the Duo DNA compound as the sources of traction and aerodynamic behavior.
The widths place these tires squarely in the modern gravel spectrum where riders want more volume for comfort and traction. The smallest of the three, the 50 mm Byway, will appeal to riders who want a smaller-knob gravel tire while still gaining volume and aero work. The 52 mm Course and 54 mm Macro give progressively more volume for rougher terrain and lower pressures.
Construction details riders care about Each model's 120 TPI casing balances suppleness with durability. SG2 puncture protection adds a protective layer for rough surfaces common in gravel riding. WTB's Dual DNA rubber is the stated traction compound across the range. Two color choices differ slightly in weight, and the weight spread across the three models is small — 620 to 640 g.
WTB launched the tires on September 9, 2026. They are available through WTB dealers and priced at $89.95 each. The announcement points to WTB.com for additional details.
