AT&T Business reached a strategic agreement with Amazon Leo to integrate Amazon's low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite broadband into AT&T's managed network stack. The move puts satellite connectivity on the same managed platform as AT&T's fiber and 5G services for public sector and enterprise customers.
AT&T frames the integration as a single managed architecture combining three network layers: fiber, 5G, and LEO satellite. The stated goals are:
- Greater geographic reach into remote, rural and underserved locations where terrestrial coverage is limited.
- Improved resilience and redundancy by adding a satellite layer as an alternate path for connectivity.
- Business-grade managed services backed by the combined experience of AWS/Amazon Leo and AT&T in servicing large-scale government and enterprise accounts.

Wes Anderson, president of public sector at AT&T, said the expanded architecture is meant to help organizations stay connected in remote locations and mission-critical situations and wrote that reliable connectivity is foundational to mission success.
