Pauric reacted with near disbelief that he had not faced more heat after being linked to Janet's exposure. He later struck an endgame pact with Ian, shaking hands after discussing Pete and Carla as possible Traitors. Ian said he wanted to win the game alongside Pauric and stated, "I just fully trust him here now." That partnership reframes who can be relied on at future Round Tables.

The episode introduced a new tactical element: a ceremonial dagger that grants its holder two votes at the next Round Table. Carla and Pauric had to decide whether to keep the dagger or hand it to a Faithful to stir confusion. Pauric argued giving it to Anna or Diego could create more chaos, a strategic consideration now that vote weight can be concentrated.
