This focus on balancing longing and freedom provides the emotional core of the track and influenced the album as a whole. Schorr says the song was the first written for the project and "struck the match for everything that followed," creating momentum during the recording process.

# Music video and production approach

Schorr worked with videographer Kee Koo on the official video after an earlier version was abandoned. For the second shoot they "approached it completely differently." Instead of literal storytelling, they concentrated on capturing feeling: "desire, freedom, danger and that irresistible pull towards someone you know you may never be able to hold on to."

# Album themes and Schorr's perspective

Running Wild shaped the record's creative direction. Schorr says she was in "an intensely prolific period" when writing began, and that the song opened a door the sessions followed through. The album explores self-discovery, resilience, transformation and artistic freedom.

On her evolving approach to songwriting, Schorr says: "There's a moment when you stop trying to fit the shape the world has made for you and start listening to the person you've been becoming all along." She adds that she has become more confident following her instincts as a songwriter and that the collection contains songs about "self-discovery, defiance, resilience and transformation."

• Single sequence: first single "Mr. In The Middle," second single and title track "Running Wild."
• Tour: an extensive European support run of 46 appearances starting September 29 at The Lexington in London. The tour lists many venues across the UK, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Czechia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and more.

"Mr. In The Middle," the album's first single, addresses a relationship where attraction remains strong while the two people want different levels of commitment: one pulls closer and then pushes away until someone has to choose.

Schorr calls Running Wild "the album I've dreamt of making all my life," noting that the record gave her more than she expected and that she hopes it gives something meaningful back to listeners.
