SonicModeler updates Syntropy to v2.4 with more expressive sound and 390 presets

The useful part

Version 2.4 brings a more organic feel to performances with per-preset Random Phase and Pitch Jitter/Drift settings for oscillators. These introduce variation between notes and movement in pitch, giving sounds a livelier character. Expanded synthesis tools also open up new ways to combine generated sound, WAV files and live audio input.

How it works

• The new FX Band feature lets users apply effects to a selected frequency range, focusing processing on the part of the spectrum they want to transform.
• The expanded right-click parameter menu offers more ways to experiment with velocity control, helping you shape how each sound responds to your playing.
• Effects can now be reordered by dragging, while tempo-synchronised delay makes rhythmic echoes easier to fit into a track.
• Adjustable UI zoom improves readability, and new syntax-colour themes make synthesis formulas easier to navigate.

What to take from it

Each Syntropy instance can have its own colour theme and Compact View setting, making projects with multiple instances easier to organise and navigate. Syntropy is available in VST3, CLAP and standalone formats for Windows and macOS, with Audio Unit support on macOS.
