By DFX in Brazil, 20 Sep 2026 18:19 Thanks Huw and Chris for opening to the community the possibility of asking questions.

does Lego plan improvements for set's listings, checkboxes for instructions and boxes, thus allowing possibility to filter sets on having them?

Was this decision taken in order to not create a competition between third-party companies that exclusively represent LEGO at some of these markets and LEGO itself?

What's happening and when

This week brings three related events for LEGO fans in Denmark. The Fan Creator Summit takes place at The LEGO Group campus in Billund. AFOL Day at the LEGO House follows with community-focused activities on Wednesday and Thursday. The Skærbæk Fan Weekend occurs in the Danish town of Skærbæk on Saturday and Sunday, 26–27 September.

Chris (CapnRex101) will attend the Fan Creator Summit in Billund on behalf of Brickset. He'll use the opportunity to network with other fan creators, interview LEGO designers, attend presentations about the company's initiatives, and view upcoming sets that cannot yet be publicly discussed.

What attendees can expect

AFOL Day at the LEGO House provides a public-facing space for adult fans to meet, share builds, and take part in activities within the LEGO House environment on Wednesday and Thursday.

Skærbæk Fan Weekend focuses on community displays, traders, and fan projects across the weekend. Brickset's on-site presence suggests easy opportunities to connect with staff and other fans.

Community questions already raised

The Brickset comments include a variety of community concerns readers asked be raised at the summit or with LEGO representatives. These include:

  • BrickLink website features: requests for improved filtering in set listings, such as checkboxes for whether sets include instructions or boxes.
  • Color availability: questions about retired colors, specifically whether trans-dark blue parts are being phased out or simply uncommon in recent releases.
  • LEGO Ideas program: whether the 10,000-support threshold for consideration will change.
  • Quality control reports: community reports of some new moulded heads cracking in recent sets and minifigure lines, with set and CMF examples cited in comments.
  • Product variety: lighthearted community calls for more DC products beyond repeated Batmobile releases.

How to connect during the events

If you will be at the LEGO House or Skærbæk Fan Weekend, Brickset's author encourages you to say hello. Look for the GBC area at Skærbæk and ask for the Brickset staff member to claim the 1x8 Brickset brick giveaway. For summit-related questions, post them in the Brickset article comments so Chris can review them before attending.
