Amir Jangoo (57*) and Hasan Nawaz (47*) put together an unbeaten 89 to finish the chase after a brisk start by Rahkeem Cornwall and Evin Lewis.
Shadab Khan was named tournament MVP with 132 runs and 11 wickets across the CPL season.
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons beat Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets in the CPL final at Bridgetown to win their first title. The Kingsmen set 171 after finishing 170/9. The Falcons reached the target with 20 balls to spare, thanks to an unbeaten 89-run partnership between Amir Jangoo and Hasan Nawaz.
The innings began poorly for the Kingsmen when Kirk McKenzie was dismissed for a duck in the first over and Keacy Carty fell for nine soon after. The scoreboard read 30/2 before Sadaqat and Ayub rebuilt.
Falcons chase: aggressive start, steady finish
The Falcons began the chase with a very aggressive opening over: Rahkeem Cornwall scored 20 in that first over before being dismissed. Evin Lewis then joined Amir Jangoo and together they put on 64 for the second wicket, setting the chase on course. Lewis was out for 38.
With the chase still under control, Jangoo and Hasan Nawaz combined in an unbeaten partnership of 89 to see the Falcons home. Jangoo finished 57 not out and Nawaz 47 not out. The pair managed the chase without further damage, sealing the victory with more than three overs remaining.
The Falcons won the CPL title in only their third season, securing a victory built on a pivotal bowling spell and calm finishing with the bat. The Kingsmen, making their tournament debut, reached the final on the back of Sadaqat's century but could not find enough batting depth to set a more challenging total or finish the game.
