# What's been announced
Lisa LeBlanc has announced Patchwork, her sixth studio album, set for release on 29 January 2027 through the Bonsound label. The announcement was accompanied by the lead single, "A Fleeting Thought Becomes Another Fleeting Thought," and a music video directed by Alexandre Pelletier.
# Single and video details
The opening track was the first song written for the record. LeBlanc says she designed the chorus to repeat several times to create a hypnotic drone meant to mirror restless spiralling thoughts. She cites influences including Stevie Nicks' "Edge of Seventeen," 1960s rock and roll, and a medieval touch achieved with a 12‑string electric guitar.
Director Alexandre Pelletier described the video approach as seeking "exceptional performances in exceptional settings," and notes the team were struck by sunsets and twilight mist in the Acadian landscape during scouting and filming.
Musically, the record blends LeBlanc's appreciation for 1960s and 1970s folk and rock with traditional Cajun and Acadian music.

LeBlanc writes and sings in English, French and Acadian patois. She began releasing music in 2012 with a self‑titled debut that combined francophone folk and spirited banjo. That first record achieved platinum sales and earned her a Juno nomination and an ADISQ Breakthrough Artist award. Later releases explored English lyrics and punk‑tinged banjo, and Why You Wanna Leave Runaway Queen? secured her first Polaris Music Prize nomination and expanded her touring in North America and Europe.
