Bentley’s Torcal is a compact luxury SUV that repackages Porsche Cayenne Electric architecture into the British brand’s first production electric vehicle, prioritising high performance, new interior materials and advanced comfort tech. It arrives in Australia late next year.

Bentley's Torcal is the company's first fully electric production model. It's a compact, performance-focused SUV that uses the same basic underpinnings as the new Porsche Cayenne Electric but with systems calibrated by Bentley—brake, accelerator and steering mappings are unique to the marque. Bentley positions the Torcal as its most attainable production model while also offering its highest recorded power outputs.
# Powertrain and performance
Two dual-motor powertrain levels are announced. The standard Torcal produces 603kW and 1194Nm and reportedly does 0–60mph (0–97km/h) in 3.4 seconds with a 250km/h top speed. The Torcal S First Edition raises output to 653kW and 1350Nm, with a 2.9-second 0–60mph claim and a 260km/h top speed. Bentley states the S's output is the highest of any Bentley to date. The battery is a 113kWh unit on an 800V electrical architecture.
Charging capability is up to 400kW DC, which Bentley says enables a 10–80% recharge in about 16 minutes. WLTP range is quoted at up to 600km, and Bentley equates that to roughly "five hours of travel time."

Bentley says the Torcal shares the Cayenne Electric platform but emphasizes unique calibration for ride and controls. Numbers show the Torcal S exceeds the standard power output of the Cayenne Turbo Electric, though Bentley's model does not replicate Porsche's higher overboost figures. The flagship Cayenne EV retains a quicker 0–100km/h claim (2.5s) and higher towing capacity in some configurations (Porsche's 3.5-tonne max vs Bentley's 2.7-tonne claim).

The Torcal measures 4983mm long, 2016mm wide and 1674mm tall, making it 161mm shorter than the standard-wheelbase Bentayga. It's intended as Bentley's most attainable model. UK pricing for the standard Torcal is listed at around £165,000 (approx A$309,784 at the time of reporting). Bentley says the Torcal will reach Australia late next year.
# Ride, chassis and driver aids
The Torcal debuts a standard active suspension with two-valve adaptive damping. Bentley claims a balance of ride comfort and body control, removing the need for anti-roll bars and calling it the firm's hardest-cornering four-door Bentley. A new-generation driver-assistance suite is part of the model's architecture.
# Interior, materials and equipment
Bentley commissioned new trims and manufacturing processes, notably the first automotive merino wool trim developed with Fox Brothers. The wool options are presented in six curated colourways and carry Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certification. Available audio is a 28-speaker system with up to 1780W output, seat shakers and Dolby Atmos 7.1 compatibility.
