Tesla App adds Supercharger Site Maps so you can preview stall layout and live status from your phone

Tesla's mobile app update (v4.61.0) adds Site Maps for supported Supercharger locations so you can preview the charger layout and live stall status on your phone. Instead of arriving and circling a lot to find an open stall, you can check which stalls are free, which are occupied or out of service, and even which Tesla model is at each occupied stall.

• The Site Map displays stall positions, occupied bays, out-of-service posts, and a live count of open Superchargers.
• For occupied stalls the app can show which Tesla model is charging there.

Tesla first introduced this Site Map view inside vehicles as part of the 2025 Holiday Update, initially piloted in California and Texas. Those in-car maps showed layout, nearby amenities, and stall status. The new app rollout brings that same informational view to phones, extending access beyond cars that have AMD Ryzen infotainment hardware.

• Owners of older Model 3 and Model Y cars that use Intel-based infotainment hardware now get the same preview without swapping hardware or buying a new car.
• Travelers or anyone charging at an unfamiliar Supercharger can pick a less congested site or one with a preferred stall location (ADA spots, pull-in orientation, proximity to amenities).

Site Maps are a preview tool. They don't reserve stalls, and they don't alter how Supercharging speed or protocol works. The update focuses on giving drivers a clearer picture of a site before they get there, not on controlling access.

• If you're planning a route with a Supercharger stop, open the app to verify how many open stalls the location currently has and where they sit relative to the entry and exit.
• If accessibility matters, check which stalls are marked ADA and where they sit in the layout so you can plan your pull-in approach.
• If you prefer a specific stall orientation for charging speed or convenience, use the Site Map to choose a location that matches your needs instead of driving into a crowded lot.
