The useful part
We've hurtled through September, and the latest bunch of big games has landed on our doorsteps. it's been the former for me, though I feel the need to pause my playthrough and try to go back to the first game – a risky decision, that's for sure. Alongside that, I dipped a toe into the Fangtopia demo, and the dogsbody co-op action of Gravhounds, both of which are playable on Steam with demos this week.
How it works
- It was a similar mish-mash of games for Jim, who started playing Industria – "a short, narrative-focused FPS that has a bit of a Half-Life/BioShock vibe" – followed that up with Gears of War:
- Townfall, and is enjoying all the sneaking, running and mutated monsters, but is saddened by the lack of Scottish cursing.
What to take from it
The eternally youthful Gamoc (in Sony's age verification eyes, anyway) has been playing Red Dead Online in stony silence with a friend of his, so he's escaped to the world of sounds in Runescape Dragonwilds, Spawl Zero, Deadlock Station, Fractured Worlds, Transport fever 3 and DreamEcho for a plethora of reviews.
Details worth keeping
