A new John Street workplace combines all-electric heating, solar panels, inclusive facilities and flexible spaces as part of Lloyds Banking Group’s programme to consolidate offices across the UK.
The new John Street office in Cardiff is all-electric and designed to cut about 422 tonnes of CO2 a year through air-source heat pumps and solar panels.
The building accommodates more than 2,500 colleagues and has BREEAM Excellent certification alongside demand-controlled ventilation and planted living walls.
Accessibility and colleague wellbeing are built in: Changing Places toilet at the entrance, wheelchair-adapted kitchens, a parents’ room, contemplation spaces and Wudu facilities.
