FlightSim Studio’s E-Jets reach final testing stage as v1.0 approaches

Version 0.10.50 moves to the stable branch after autopilot and cFMS work; FSS confirms a price increase at v1.0 and a free native MSFS 2024 build will follow.

Useful takeaways from this story.

Version 0.10.50 is now on the stable branch and is described by FSS as the final build before v1.0.

FSS will increase the product price at v1.0 and will later provide a free native MSFS 2024 version.

Where this sits now

Why this matters

Access for several years. The line started with the E175 in Early Access and later added E190/195 and a Freighter variant. The custom FMS and a new autopilot are the main reasons users have followed development closely: those systems control LNAV/VNAV, RNAV approaches, and more precise flight handling than the stock systems.

What changed in 0.10.50

FSS lists several user-facing and technical fixes in this stable build:

  • Navigation and FMS
  • Direct To routing was fixed to remove loops, detours, and backtracks. FSS says Direct To now follows a more direct path.
  • Fixes for calculation errors with special ARINC 424 leg types on SIDs and STARs.
  • RNAV glidepath deviation is now referenced to the runway threshold.
  • Autopilot, APv2 and handling
  • The autopilot was rewritten and fine-tuned. Users should experience smoother, more precise flying with fewer corrections.
  • Improvements include smoother FLCH, better altitude capture, refined autothrottle speed/thrust transitions, and gentler idle retard on large FLCH descents.
  • On approach fixes: corrected localizer offset after LOC capture and prevention of glideslope re-arm when ILS ident remains.
  • Post-touchdown behavior: autobrake now stays engaged until below 60 knots and pitch-up tendency on E190/E195 has been reduced.
  • Operational and systems polish
  • ACARS: weather requests, METAR uplinks, new-message queue, and expanded menus.
  • New combined flight summary page showing fuel used per engine and APU alongside live fuel remaining.
  • MCDU updates: improved departure/arrival route layout, manual runway elevation and slope entries in TAKEOFF INIT, and various climb/descent/ECON speed improvements.
  • EFB/GSX: departure fueling choice and instant boarding no longer forces refueling or catering.

Remaining limitations

Roadmap and next steps

FSS reports Stage 4a is finalized and Stage 5 (full cFMS and APv2 release) is listed as "in validation." The studio says the general open-issue list is now short and mostly contains feature requests they may add after v1.0.

Pricing and MSFS 2024 compatibility

FSS confirmed that the product price will increase at v1.0. The studio also said it will provide a free native MSFS 2024 version after v1.0, addressing compatibility for users of the newer simulator.

Bottom line

If you follow the E-Jets project for its custom FMS and autopilot behavior, v1.0 is very near. Version 0.10.50 brings the latest autopilot and FMS fixes into the stable channel, while a short list of features—most notably autoland and step climbs—remain to be added after validation.
