Useful takeaways from this story.

ATT Strategy Journal reads the terminal’s trade history and rebuilds positions by EA, symbol and magic number, then scores and issues a short verdict for every row.

Important inspection panels include Risk (equity vs closed-drawdown), Time (monthly scores and fading detection), Overlap (shared-win/loss days), Costs (commission/swap/slippage), and a Prop-Firm Challenge tracker.

# Journal is

The panel only reads account data. It does not place, modify or close orders and does not use DLLs. Two side effects are: symbols for positions may be added to Market Watch so the terminal loads price history, and the chart hosting the panel temporarily changes visual settings and keyboard focus while attached.

# Installing and running

  • The product is distributed through the MQL5 Market and installs via the terminal. Files are not copied manually. You need a signed-in MQL5.community account to buy, rent or download the demo (Tools → Options → Community). After purchase the terminal downloads and installs the EA and lists it under Navigator → Expert Advisors → Market.
  • Drag the EA onto a separate chart of any symbol and timeframe. Algorithmic trading permission is not required because the panel does not trade.
  • The demo runs in the Strategy Tester visual mode and shows a SAMPLE DATA account. Note: figures that depend on price bars (worst/best points, equity drawdown, part of score tied to Exits) are not computed in the tester.

# Quick start essentials

# Inspection tools and everyday workflows

  • Score-first triage: Sorting by SCORE surfaces the most reliable records. Clicking a row shows the verdict, reason for the grade and the main risk in plain figures.
  • Interaction between EAs: Overlap shows whether multiple EAs win or lose on the same days—useful to spot twins (behave like a larger single position) or hedge pairs.
  • Cost and execution monitoring: Costs tab reports commission, swap and slippage by symbol and month, and flags worsening fills.
  • Prop-firm tracking: With Track prop-firm limits enabled, the panel displays room left before daily loss and max-drawdown limits and issues alerts at 50% and 80%, plus when limits are reached.
  • Backtest comparison: Strategy Tester reports can be opened on the same board and read with the same grades and marks for side-by-side comparison.

Your Hotel’s Strategy Shouldn’t Live in Your Head

Most hotel leaders can rattle off their property’s strengths and weaknesses in casual conversation.
