# What KIOGE 2026 is and when it happens
# Scale and participation The anniversary edition lists 501 participating companies representing 62 countries. Of those, 187 are Kazakh companies and 314 are international. Organizers expect roughly 9,000 visitors over the event days. Thirty-four percent of exhibitors will attend KIOGE for the first time.
# Conference program and business meetings
# Program priorities and session topics The first conference day highlights Kazakhstan's role in new energy chains, intelligent upstream development, the national energy report, low-carbon development and ESG, digital transformation, oil and gas machinery and petrochemicals. The program includes a presentation for the 26th WPC Energy Congress to be held in Astana in 2028.
Artificial intelligence and automation are explicit program items: the agenda includes practical case studies on AI and new technologies applied to oil and gas operations. Export logistics and geopolitics are another focus, with sessions examining existing corridors and alternative routes for regional energy exports.
On Oct. 1 the agenda shifts to gas and gas chemistry, export logistics and the geopolitics of routes, and Kazakhstan's energy future—investment, the energy transition and strategic opportunities. There is also a panel titled "Industry Legends on Challenges and Victories," featuring long‑service industry figures discussing three decades of development and future challenges.
# Practical business elements at the exhibition A business program running Sept. 30–Oct. 1 will feature technology presentations, procurement programs and training sessions. Major project operators—North Caspian Operating Company, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating and Tengizchevroil—will present opportunities for domestic suppliers. Exhibitors will demonstrate technologies across areas such as AI, well productivity and intelligent oil and gas processing.
A business game and a PR and HR simulation organized by GR Hub Kazakhstan will focus on leadership and management under uncertainty, technological change and AI.
