Simple Session Street Series 2026 — Riga: raw street riding in Sarkandaugava

# What happened Simple Session Street Series 2026's Riga stop brought BMX riders deep into Sarkandaugava for a street session on Ziemeļu Street. Organizers moved the session up by a day because a large storm was approaching Riga. The early call meant the crew showed up unannounced and turned the block into an impromptu street party.

# Where it took place The session centered on Ziemeļu Street in the Sarkandaugava neighborhood. The location was described as one of the most unique street spots the series has used, chosen for its raw, authentic urban vibe.

# Crowd and local reaction Locals reacted in real time: kids were excited, some bystanders were confused, and an eclectic crowd supplied loud, genuine energy. Organizers apologized to residents whose quiet afternoon was interrupted.

# Films and video coverage

# Supporting events Riga's SSSS26 included several side events: a Madars Apse skate jam and a Game of Bike / Street jam that took place at The Spot and by the Dailes Theatre. Parties and social events were also part of the schedule, keeping the stop active beyond the daytime riding.

# Tone and aesthetic The coverage emphasizes a gritty, authentic street atmosphere. The organizers aimed for a raw, unfiltered session rather than a polished contest setup, relying on neighborhood features and spontaneous crowd interaction.
