MK Studios explicitly warns users that the scenery is a straight port of an older product built to P3D standards seven years ago. The team says you should not expect the same level of detail or the same modeling and texture standards found in the studio's more recent, native MSFS developments.

The scenery is free and available for download on the Contrail shop. No purchase is required for this release.

MK Studios recently released Tenerife South V2 as a paid, native MSFS 2024 product. Tenerife North's free port complements that paid offering, but the two are distinct in quality and development approach.

Historical context included in the release The article notes the airport's real-world history: on March 27, 1977, Tenerife North (then Los Rodeos) was the site of a collision between two Boeing 747s that resulted in 583 fatalities, making it the deadliest accident in aviation history. The release mentions this as background for the airport's significance.
