Useful takeaways from this story.

AMRC Connect is an exclusive online forum for staff at AMRC Full and Introductory member charities to network, continue event discussions and join specialist groups.

AMRC Connect provides threaded discussions and groups that mirror in-person and online networks. It is positioned as the place to continue conversations after AMRC meetings and events and to join focused communities such as working groups.

Sign-up is available only to people who work for AMRC Full Member or Introductory Member charities. The platform is restricted to AMRC membership to keep the space focused on charities and practitioners connected to AMRC's work.

To keep the forum secure and exclusive to members, all new accounts are manually approved by AMRC staff. Expect a short delay between signing up and getting access. AMRC states that most approvals happen within two working days, though some may take longer. If you haven't received confirmation within a week you should contact AMRC at connect@amrc.org.uk. Once approved, a quick start guide is available inside the platform to help you get started.

The existing Research Management Working Group (RMWG) Teams channel is migrating to AMRC Connect. Members of that Teams channel were automatically set up on AMRC Connect and received an email with login details. If you are an RMWG Teams member and did not receive the email, AMRC asks you to contact connect@amrc.org.uk. RMWG members who were not part of the Teams channel should sign up through the public sign-up button on the AMRC site.

  • If you work for a Full or Introductory Member charity, use the sign-up button on AMRC's site to request access. Expect manual approval and check spam folders for confirmation emails.

AMRC Connect centralises member conversations in a single place and moves a standing working-group channel (RMWG Teams) onto the same platform. For staff who regularly attend AMRC meetings or participate in working groups, this should reduce friction when continuing discussions between events and make peer expertise easier to find.
