Orphea is a playable 13-key electronic piano that spans one chromatic octave (C to C) in a footprint slightly larger than a modern smartphone.
It keeps physical black-and-white keys, polyphonic capability and built-in speakers, and adds headphone output, MIDI connectivity and USB-C charging.
Pianni is refining the design through multiple prototype iterations and plans a production push via Kickstarter.

Rather than replacing keys with touch strips or removing black keys to save space, Orphea preserves pressable mechanical keys and the familiar chromatic layout. It also keeps polyphony, so more than one note can sound at once. The instrument includes built-in speakers for standalone use and a headphone output for quiet practice.
