Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Bishkek produced outcomes that have injected vitality into regional development. He linked the summit's results to accelerated implementation of a strategic blueprint adopted at last year's Tianjin Summit.

Xi Jinping described the SCO as a "new type of regional cooperation organization" spanning a vast geographic area and population with significant development potential.
