Bas-Armagnac Michel Tartas 32 yo 1992 (43,1%, Authentic Spirits 2024, 50 cl) Nose: quite an aromatic and friendly profile, rather cognac-like with juicy fruits.
Finish: quite long, with more fruity echoes, a drying hint of leather and walnuts. Mouth: still bright and vibrant, now displaying a combination of peach, minty freshness and orange. Very gentle and refined armagnac, at some point closer to cognac or even a very old whisky.
Peaches and nectarines, with some tangerine underneath. Then there's cedar wood, with a resinous touch and some herbal tea. You get the wood influence but it doesn't come with a tannic note.

Sansibar has just released a 15th Anniversary series . They have been on our radar since 2013 or so, first with the grey / gold labels, then Samurai releases, Highland clans and many more.It looks like they've kept aside some nice casks for this celebration: Clynelish 1993 and Glentauchers 1996, and then some 20+ year

Last week Malternative Belgium released a "Cognac de conversation" . This assemblage was created with elegance and accessability in mind. It should be an easy-drinking cognac, slightly reduced (deliberately) and combining four cognacs of different ages. The reference XO26 probably indicates it will become a yearly (or
