We were blithely unaware of, or pleased with, the barrage of antisemitic molotov cocktails, shootings, stabbings, vehicle rammings, arson, terror and mass-murder plots, beatings, death threats, and sexual violence. Later, when I bumped into my farm-to-table pistachio fermenter protesting at a synagogue, near the thoroughly passé metal detectors sponsored by Jews who can't stop complaining about bomb threats, we were just … together.
