Plan Your CLE: 34 State Bar PINNACLE Programs Run Sept. 23–Oct. 7

If you plan to earn CLE credits in the next two weeks, the State Bar of Wisconsin has published a concentrated offering: 34 PINNACLE programs take place between Sept. 23 and Oct. 7. The programs span common practice areas and practical skills topics used by Wisconsin attorneys. This period is a reliable window to pick up credits or refresh core practice knowledge.

Registration and account access changes

On Sept. 28 the State Bar will switch to a new WisBar Marketplace. The Marketplace aims to make it quicker to find and register for CLE programs with better search and filtering, personalized recommendations, automatic member pricing, wish lists, and a mobile-friendly checkout experience.

Important account detail: the Marketplace uses a new authentication platform. For many users, that will mean setting up a separate password for the Marketplace (via the "Don't remember your password?" option) because WisBar.org keeps the existing login process until the single sign-on rollout. Books UnBound users can use their existing Books UnBound credentials on the new Marketplace without an extra password. Full single sign-on across WisBar.org, the Marketplace, and Books UnBound is planned for late October.

• Check dates now and reserve seats for programs you need, especially for high-demand topics. The two-week window concentrates offerings, so sessions can overlap.
• Confirm your State Bar account email is current. You will need a valid email on file to receive Marketplace password reset instructions.
• If you use Books UnBound, try signing in there first to confirm your credentials will work on the Marketplace. If not, be prepared to use the Marketplace password-reset flow on Sept. 28 or afterward.
• Keep separate logins in mind through late October. Until SSO arrives, WisBar.org and the Marketplace may require different passwords.

What the new Marketplace changes for CLE buyers

Expect faster discovery and smoother checkout. The site highlights member pricing automatically and adds filtering so you can narrow programs by date, format, or topic faster than before. The Marketplace is also designed to work better on phones and tablets, which helps when registering on the go.

WisBar.org for help. If you see trouble signing in after launch, check that the email on your State Bar account is correct, then use the Marketplace password reset flow. Note that the WisBar.org login process remains unchanged until SSO is activated.

How to make the most of the two-week CLE period

Pick a mix of credits: combine mandatory and practical-skills sessions to maximize time. Use the Marketplace search and filters (after Sept. 28) to group sessions by practice area or credit type. If a session is full, add it to a wish list or contact the State Bar to ask about waitlists or additional dates.
