tvN released a teaser for Gift, a webtoon adaptation that follows a retired pro who gains a new ability and becomes coach of a bottom-ranked high school team; the series premieres December 12, 2026.
Kim Woo-bin plays Jung Min-yong, a former pro forced to retire who becomes head coach of Deok Cheon High School.
After an accident he gains the ability to assess a player’s baseball skills at a glance and uses that power to coach a bottom-ranked team.
The special teaser begins with your classic baseball montage: lights, equipment, sweat, and a pitcher's mound. After an accident caused him to stop playing professionally, Min-yong got the ability to assess people's baseball skills with a single look, so he switches careers and becomes the head coach of Deok Cheon High School. Despite ranking last, the players seem determined to succeed, so Min-yong decides to follow their lead and go for it, too.
