Clio has purchased Learned Hand, a company that builds a dedicated AI workspace for judges and court staff. The deal brings an existing product already used by U.S. courts into Clio’s new judiciary business and follows recent strategic hires focused on courts.
Clio acquired Learned Hand, which makes an AI workspace for judges and clerks that integrates with court case management systems.
Learned Hand’s features include matter briefing, filing review, legal research, bench memoranda, and draft orders tailored to procedural requirements.
The product is already in use in multiple U.S. courts, including the Superior Court of Los Angeles County.
Clio Buys Learned Hand as Judiciary Strategy Expands – Artificial Lawyer Clio has bought Learned Hand, an AI company focused on supporting judges and the courts. The move is part of its wider strategy to build within the judiciary segment of the market, which has included major hires, including the former CEO of the AAA. Learned Hand's technology is already being used by courts across the US, including the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, the nation's largest trial court, Clio noted.
